Bethel-Tate Local School District continues its record of strong academic performance, earning an overall 4-Star rating on the 2025-2026 Ohio School Report Card. The rating means the district once again exceeds state standards.

The 4-Star rating reflects continued strong performance across Bethel-Tate Schools. Under Ohio’s rating system, 3 Stars indicates a district or school meets state standards, while 4 Stars indicates performance that exceeds state standards.

Among this year’s highlights, Bethel-Tate High School earned an overall 4.5-Star rating, continuing a strong record of academic performance. Bethel-Tate Middle School also earned 4.5 Stars overall and maintained a 5-Star rating in student progress, demonstrating significant academic growth among students.

“Our students and staff continue to demonstrate what can be accomplished through hard work, strong instruction and a shared commitment to learning,” said Superintendent Melissa Kircher. “Earning 4 Stars as a district is something our entire Bethel-Tate community can be proud of. These results also give us important information about where we are succeeding and where we have opportunities to grow.”

The 2025-2026 results continue a pattern of strong performance for Bethel-Tate High School and Bethel-Tate Middle School, with both schools earning an overall rating of 4 Stars or higher throughout Ohio’s current star-rating system.

Hill Intermediate School earned an overall 2.5-Star rating. District leaders are reviewing the school’s report card data and, under new administrative leadership, will continue focusing on instructional practices and student supports designed to strengthen achievement and growth.

“State report cards provide an important snapshot of student performance, but their greatest value is to help us identify what is working and where we need to improve,” Kircher said. “We are proud of the progress happening throughout Bethel-Tate Schools, and we remain focused on making sure every student has the opportunity to succeed.”

Bethel-Tate Schools thanks its teachers, staff, students, families and community for their continued partnership and commitment to student success.
