Are you or a family member a graduate of Bethel-Tate and a proud Veteran? If so, the Bethel-Tate High School National Honor Society wants to hear from you.
The NHS has undertaken the task of creating an Honor Wall at BTHS. Phase I of the project involves collecting names and photographs of graduates/Veterans. To be included in the Honor Wall, please fill out this form at the following link - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeYFHod7Jw1e4dTtRJQL40u8xnxw3TdzO4lYhFB2fbtBierMA/viewform Military pictures can be emailed to nhs@betheltate.org
The idea for this project dates back to 2019. It was a pre-covid activity delayed. But we’re happy to once again be moving forward. The National Honor Society members and their advisor, Jenny Benjamin, are doing a great job and are eager to receive names, Principal George Sturgeon says.
Ms. Benjamin says that NHS has already received 40 names but knows many more graduates are veterans to celebrate and honor. The oldest enlistment received so far graduated in 1965 and the most recent graduated from Bethel-Tate in 2022.
The NHS and Bethel-Tate High School are working collaboratively with the Legion, Lions Club, and the VFW to create the veterans wall. The next phase of the project, which will hopefully get underway by late this summer or next school year, will be the actual creation of the wall which will be located in the school’s commons for all to enjoy!
The Bethel-Tate HS National Honor Society is eager to receive the names. Again, if you’re a graduate, or if you know one, who has served in the military, please fill out this form - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeYFHod7Jw1e4dTtRJQL40u8xnxw3TdzO4lYhFB2fbtBierMA/viewform Also, please email your military photo, including name, year graduated, and branch of the service, to nhs@betheltate.org
