The Bethel-Tate High School boys bowling team faced a tough matchup against Norwood on Monday, December 9, 2024, ultimately falling short with a total pinfall of 1,880 to Norwood’s 2,218. Despite the result, the Tigers demonstrated resilience and determination, showcasing the potential for growth as the season progresses.  

The Tigers were led by several strong individual performances:  

- Layne Pelvit rolled games of 156 and 117 for a solid average of 136.5.  

- Brody Sons contributed scores of 136 and 113, averaging 124.5.  

- Noah Wergers posted games of 132 and 110 for an average of 121.0.  

- Luke Pelvit delivered the team’s high game of 194.  

- Brady Stephens, Nathan Riddle, and Riley Houlihan added valuable contributions with scores of 136, 125, and 113, respectively.  

The team totaled 1,332 pins in regular games, averaging 666.0. In Baker games, Bethel-Tate scored 147, 158, 125, and 118, adding another 548 pins to the overall effort, with a Baker average of 137.0.  

With this match, Bethel-Tate’s record stands at 2-2 in conference play and 2-4 overall. The Tigers currently sit third in the SBAAC National Division standings.
